About Me & Obsidian Tech
Computers! Can’t live with em, can’t live without em - am I right? Whether or not we enjoy our devices, we depend on them every day to make our personal and professional lives happen, and we trust them with our most valuable work and most cherished memories.
My name’s Eddie and I’ve been fascinated by electronics my entire life - see this incredibly 1990-coded photo of me as evidence - and my earliest dream as a kid was to have a computer shop with my friends. After doing that successfully for well over a decade at 1201 Computer Repair in Portland, I’ve moved myself up and over the Cascades to live with my family in Bend, and I’m bringing the expertise I built over all those years here to Central Oregon.
My specialty is disaster recovery and board-level work, bringing computers that have suffered spills, drops, fires, and other minor-to-major tragedies - and often more importantly, the irreplaceable data that they contain - back from the brink. My goal is to make it so that a simple and sudden whoopsie doesn’t turn into a timeline altering event for my clients. Board-level work is a skilled handicraft that lies at the intersection of engineering and art where the quality of the work truly determines the outcome. I pride myself on my record of successful repairs and relieved customers and my willingness to stand behind every bit of work that I do.
And perhaps more importantly, with Obsidian Technologies, I strive to bring humanity back to the challenge of living in an increasingly technological world. Every client is a complete being whom I care about and who I realize is trusting me to do everything possible to help, and so every repair I take on is personal project from start to finish.
Thank you for coming to my site and reading all of this.
I truly appreciate your time.
